Heavens to murgatroyd!

Today at work, I started thinking who's the gayest cartoon character of all time. That's right, I've got time to think these kinds of things!

The first characters who popped in to my head were from South Park. Mr. Garison, Mr. Slave and Big Gay Al... Of course these are the obvious ones, the ones who everybody thinks of. Well, there's Tinkle-frinkin-winkle from the teletubbies but I think he's just a modern version of Barney the dinosaur.

Maybe some of you have noticed the title of this entry to my blog, so you might already know who he is. He's the Liza Minelli of Cartoon Network! He's Sir Elton John of your daily cartoons! He is... SNAGGLEPUSS!!

That's right, the loveable pink cat created by Hanna-Barbera. The always so polite and well mannered feline. The only cartoon character wearing a bow and cuffs.

Keep in mind Snagglepuss was created in the mid 1900's, so the gayness is not so obvious. But really.. Who else has a cathc phrase but super heroes or the gay ones? Big Gay Al is always super, Mr. Slave goes Oh, Jesus whole the time. And Snaggie says Heavens to murgatroyd or exit, stage left even...

But here's the big question. When did the our culture change so that we enjoy watching so aggressive gays like Mr. Garison? What happened to the more sublte and classy characters like Snagglepuss? Maybe it's the time we live in...

But on to other stuff. So I've been working this whole week, cause we have a winter vacation or winter break or what ever, and I decided to go to work for the week. And it's been much more fun than I first thought it'll be. And I'll earn my next months rent so.. Can't complain. But otherwise this has been a slow week so far. I come home from work and pretty much just doze the day off... I'm not a morning person so the six o'clock wakeup doesn't make me very happy. But two days left and then it's back to school.. Wuppi-fuckin-doo!

And hey, if you guys can think of a gayer cartoon character than old Snaggie, please tell me!
